Walk Cancellation Policy

Every group walk and private Geeky Gallop is paid in full at the time of booking through our secure payment processor, Stripe. There is no balance to settle on the day of the walk, and no recurring charge of any kind — walk bookings are one-time purchases.

Your booking confirmation email includes your booking number, the walk date and time, the meeting location, the number of attendees, what to bring, and this policy.

Full refund to your original payment method, or a free reschedule onto any future walk — your choice. Email info@samthefungi.com with your booking number.

Non-refundable, because the group size and permits are already set. Your spot is transferable — send someone else in your place — or we convert the full amount into a credit toward a future walk.

If weather makes the trail unsafe or the minimum headcount isn't met, every booking is automatically refunded in full or rescheduled, whichever you prefer.

Email info@samthefungi.com with your booking number (it starts with GG-) and tell us whether you want a refund, a reschedule, a transfer to another person, or a walk credit. We answer every message, usually within one business day.

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. Walk credits do not expire.

Walks start at the posted time from the posted meeting location. If you cannot find the group, call or text the phone number in your confirmation email. A no-show is treated as a cancellation inside 48 hours: non-refundable, but convertible to a credit toward a future walk at Sam's discretion.

Walks take place on public greenbelts, natural areas, and private property with permission. Sam may change the meeting location or cancel a walk when trails are flooded, closed, or unsafe, or when the minimum headcount is not met. In every case where Sam cancels, you are refunded in full or rescheduled — your choice.
