Sam the Fungi exploring limestone formations on a Central Texas nature walk

Guided ecology walks

Geeky Gallops

What it is

Two and a half hours, one log at a time

Geeky Gallops are slow, nerdy, unhurried walks through San Antonio's creek bottoms and greenbelts. Sam leads, everyone identifies, and the observations get shared back to the Central Texas Mycological Society. Walks are ticketed — you pay in full at booking, and there is nothing to settle on the day.
